Nancy F. Behles

I am a professional artist and art educator, working in oil, acrylic and oil pastel. Stylistically, my work ranges from impressionistic to abstract. I value the creative interaction and exchange of ideas with my talented students at the North Shore Art League, where I have been a faculty member since 2003.

My work celebrates my love for drawing, color, and composition. Many of my paintings rely heavily upon contour lines to create rhythmic and repetitive elements. The human figure has always captured my interest.

More recently, the lush panoramas in and around Door County, Wisconsin have lent me a new appreciation for landscape painting. This ever-changing seasonal palette continues to be an inspiration.
