Katharine Frey
Katharine Frey is a Chicago-based artist and photographer who works with cyanotype, watercolor, glass, acrylic, and other media. She also is an early childhood teacher who loves to create art with her students. Her greatest joy is sparking inspiration in her students to be as creative as they can be.
Being creative unleashes magic and imagination which Katharine aim’s to convey in her work. She is deeply inspired by landscapes, nature, and places she has been. Katharine has been going to Door County since she was a child and it has been such a creative outlet. Growing up, Katharine admired her art teacher in school. She inspired and encouraged Katharine to be creative and taught her anything is possible in art.
Katharine’s current passion is creating cyanotypes, which is a photographic process using UV light.
