Kat Walton-Myers

A Polish-born artist, currently residing in Evanston. My artistic passions circle around slavic folk practices, folklore, mythology, Victoriana, oddities and the esoteric. I have a degree in illustration with a minor in typography and design from MIAD (Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design).

My work uses many medias, mainly acrylic, gouache, watercolor and recently digital illustration. I adore the natural world and string motifs of animals, botanical imagery and magical iconography together. I work either massively large with mural-sized masterpieces or in tiny painstaking miniature.

During the day I work as your local conservation-focused designer and picture framer here in Evanston. I am passionate about creating and preserving beauty. I have done some work designing interiors, and have a mission to erase one white, empty wall at a time.

Follow along with me and my pets on Instagram. You’ll find there my bonded rabbits Wendigo Jackelope Jones and Weepers Dustbunny Cooper, as well as my tuxedo cat Marcel Onions Meowceaux. I post Daily updates as I hone my craft.
