June Chen Ahleman

Artist June Chen Ahleman is best known for her large-scale portraits and installations which explore the human experience of identity, perception, and objectification. Ahleman works predominantly in oil on wood with paintings as large as 6’x9′ tall. June is currently pursuing a BFA in painting at Rhode Island School of Design. By focusing on concepts such as exploitation through objectification, she is able to portray an authentic portrait not only of the subject’s image but their whole identity.
