Evanston Paints: Register today

Inspired by Herve Tullet’s “Art of Play,” Evanston Paints are  free, community art workshops  that invite all of Evanston to paint and create in a fun, playful environment. The project opens Evanston residents to the importance and enjoyment of making art, and engages Evanston kids to express their creativity.

Art created in the workshops will be collected, organized and exhibited  at the Evanston Art Center in June 2024 in celebration of Evanston Made’s 10-year anniversary.

Painting workshops

The workshops are based on the idea and directions from the book Herve Tullet “Art of Play.” There is an open space, well laid out, with all the materials necessary: paper, brushes, paint. Participants will be guided and instructed in each workshop, and accompanied by a playlist to accompany the art making to encourage movement.
