Sami Mills

I am an Evanston native, born and raised. I have always been immersed in art in many forms, but mainly painting and drawing. My work now focuses on faces I find in tree bark. I take pictures of trees that inspire me and paint from those reference pictures. On my instagram I share the photographs as well as the paintings. My medium are Gouache, Watercolor, and Oil. Each painting evokes some emotion and that is how I decide on a title for them.
