Ruth Hecht
I am an artist, potter and teacher of art. I have been teaching art for 25 years and making art for 35 years. I had to learn how to throw on the potter’s wheel 20 years ago when I took my current position at Roycemore School. Pottery has been my favorite art form ever since. My pottery ranges from the everyday functional such as mugs, cups, bowls, plates, serving platters and pouring vessels to sculptural, decorative pots. I am always looking for ways to push the limits of the art form and learn new techniques as well as refine tried and true forms. I am happy to accept commissions.
