Jay Thompson

Self taught artist finding personality in everyday life. I find pics of small humble houses that I adorn with a tableau of childhood memories (clotheslines, tv antennas), surreal elements and Hopper/Hockney influences. These houses are my “Strange Neighbors” series.

I am also interested in painting empty big box stores as a statement of late-stage capitalism. These are paintings are my “Big BoxObit” series.

I love art and architecture as much as I love wine and food.
