Bonnie Katz
Bonnie Katz is an artist and teacher within the Chicago arts community. Her current collection of work is a personal rediscovery into drawing and painting. The work explores the forms and spaces that make up her life at home. Modern furniture, books and art objects are represented in abstract forms to reveal the way the home can be an expressive part of one’s identity. The repeated images of silverware, furniture, and other family heirlooms connect her past with the present. Bonnie currently teaches at the Evanston Art center as well as having taught at universities, public and private schools. She received a BFA from Washington University and an MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Her work has been featured in local and international exhibitions.
