Metropolis Performing Arts Centre’s “The Play That Goes Wrong,” Feb. 25 – Mar. 22

March 14 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Event Series (See All)
$25 – $49

Metropolis Performing Arts Centre is proud to present The Play That Goes Wrong, located in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights, 111 W. Campbell St., February 25 – March 22. The Play That Goes Wrong is written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields and directed by Artistic Director Johanna McKenzie Miller.

Part Monty Python, part Fawlty Towers, The Play That Goes Wrong is an Olivier Award-winning gut-busting global sensation that leaves the audience aching from laughter. In this farcical fiasco of a show, a bungling troupe of thespians attempts to stage a 1920s “WHODUNIT” murder mystery. Instead, these accident-prone actors trip over everything, including their lines, and things quickly go from bad to absolutely disastrous. From a fainting femme to a corpse that can’t quite croak, The Play That Goes Wrong features everything you never wanted in a show.

The performance schedule is Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. The performance on March 12 will be ASL interpreted. The performance on March 7 at 2 p.m. will be closed captioned. Tickets are now on sale from $25 to $49 at MetropolisArts.com or by calling the box office at 847.577.2121.
