Dr. Roy will discuss strategies for improving balance and preventing falls, including targeted exercises, proper protein intake, and the role of vision and hearing in stability. She will also explore the MIND diet and integrative approaches to support brain health and reduce the risk of dementia. Don’t miss this opportunity to strengthen both body and mind!

About the presenter:
Dr. Debjani Roy is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine and currently practices at Endeavor Health. She also sees patients at the Park Center in Glenview, where she integrates conventional Western medicine with evidence-based complementary approaches. Previously, she served as the Department Head of Integrative Wellness at FHCC, a joint facility of the U.S. Navy and the Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on chronic pain management.
Dr. Roy is dedicated to a salutogenic approach, emphasizing overall well-being alongside managing chronic health issues. She believes in the philosophy that “food is medicine” and has a special interest in herbal medicine, pain management, and autoimmunity. Dr. Roy is committed to holistic patient care, tailoring treatments to what matters most for each individual.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Roy teaches at the University of Chicago and Rosalind Franklin University. She completed her medical education in India and a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University. Furthering her expertise, she completed a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine (AIHM) in San Diego.
