FREE Spring Fran Randall Concert
May 23 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Free
Join us Friday, May 23, at 1:30 p.m. for a Fran Randall classical concert with young gifted performers: Joey Daso, Mauro Facundo Ortega, and Dominic Doutney.
Joey Daso is a Cleveland-born jazz pianist studying at Loyola University Chicago. Influenced by 1930s musical films, he’s passionate about composition and solo performance. While experienced in jazz ensembles and arranging for big band, he’s most inspired when sharing his solo piano ideas with listeners.
Mauro Facundo Ortega, a violist from Buenos Aires, studies at DePaul University on a full-tuition scholarship. A Mozarteum Argentino awardee, he’s performed internationally, held principal orchestral roles, and appeared at top chamber music festivals. Mauro also teaches violin, reflecting his strong commitment to music education.
Dominic Doutney is a DMA student at Northwestern University who studied at London’s Royal College of Music and won the Tagore Gold Medal. He’s earned top prizes in major competitions, including the 2024 Washington International, and has performed internationally, with broadcasts on BBC Radio 3, CNBC, and Antena 2.
Don’t miss this chance to see performances by these accomplished young musicians! Admission is free, and registration is not required.
