December at Perspective features Grand Vistas; Intimate Views

“Grand Vistas; Intimate Views,” a new dual exhibit by member artists Jane Feely and Frank Monnelly will be on display at Perspective Gallery from December 4th through December 28th. Please join us for the opening reception Saturday, December 6th from 5 to 7 p.m.; and, to register for the virtual artist’s talk December 11th at 7 p.m., visit perspectivegallery.org
Feely’s “Japan: With a Beginner’s Mind” embraces the Zen Buddhist concept of shoshin, encouraging a sense of openness and curiosity–approaching life with childlike vision. Her images invite vieweers to get close to the details of this fascinating country, to find joy in even the smallest of experiences.
Monnelly’s “Denali: Sublime Majesty” features aerial photography capturing the scale, grandeur and elegance of the highest mountain peak in North America. Shot from a Cessna 185, the spirit of Denali is revealed in a cathedral of stone and ice. During the show, Monnelly will also premiere a video on aerial photography made in collaboration with Alex Joseph Hansen and Alexander Marvin.
