Diane Ponder
Diane Ponder is a painter, digital photographer, sculptor and videographer. Primarily based in Chicago and Oak Park, her studio is in the Feather Lofts. Her work can been seen online at Artists on the Lam, Hygge, an online art exhibition.

Diane’s work has been displayed locally at Navy Pier, Grant Park, and Oak Park. Her work was in the 100th anniversary members show at the Oak Park Art League. She has exhibited in and curated several shows at the Hyde Park Art Center, including the 2013 Not Just Another Pretty Face Show. Diane showed at the Lincoln Park Art Fair and at the Cultural Center Peace Tower of Mark do Suervo in Chicago. She created her own Peace Tower which was displayed in several events and used to show children’s art. She also featured in the Chicago Creative Expo at the Cultural Center promoting an eco art organization. She exhibited in the 2014 New Materials Art Fair, Chicago; 2014 1+1 show at the 47th ward alderman’s office; and she was part of a Hyperkewl Collaborative project at the MDW Fair and the Axis International Fair.
Nationally, her work has appeared at The Rockford Gallery in Rockford, Maine; the Art Center in Orinda, California; and the New York Art Expo. Diane was featured in the Eco Art Show in Racine, Wisconsin a virtual show as part of a drive/through presentation. Other shows include 2015 Aqua Art Miami; 2013 Verge Art Fair in New York and Miami.
Internationally, her work appeared in the first abstract art show in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she was the only woman artist. She has worked with galleries and shown at art fairs in Hong Kong, Busan, Beijing, and Shanghai.
Diane’s work has been featured in the Oak Park Wednesday Journal, the Chicago Tribune, and on NBC. Her work was featured in a PBS documentary about an art series benefiting Sarah’s Inn, a women’s shelter. Diane directed the Living Room Gallery, a multidisciplinary art space, and she has been artist in residence with the Art House, an artist’s cooperative located in Oak Park.
