Donna Bartman Masini

Creating with fabric has been my passion since I was a child. I discovered nuno felting about 15 years ago. Nuno felt makes it possible to embed other textiles into wool felt and thus obtain a completely new material. I am drawn to the textures and the unique colors that can be created by layering silk over wool. I use fine merino wool, hand-dyed silks, hand stitching, re-purposed fabrics, and scraps of silk or wool incorporated into the fabric to create even more texture. Each piece is one of a kind and made by hand. I strive to complete unique pieces that will be treasured for years.
