Art Installations
The Fabric of Our Lives III - We Survived by Yeefah Thurman
This installation is interactive: Feel free to share the ways you survived The COVID-19 Pandemic. Instructions: Use one of the hanging markers, place your hand behind the first layer of fabric, use it as your writing surface, then write your thoughts. Or write directly on the fabric without using your hand as a base. Be free with your thoughts. This is a safe space.
Plastic River by David Gista
Plastic River takes trash from the beach and other public spaces and turns it into sculpture. Plastic River is a collaborative art project between artist David Gista and area residents who helped collect the trash.
Sun Quest by Christie Russert
Sunshine is a state of mind. In my art, I often draw inspiration from faraway, exotic places, and as these locations often embody the essence of paradise and freedom. Through the use of color, theme, and motif, I strive to create a sense of escape and wonder that encourages the viewer to find their own sense of sunshine within no matter where they may be in the world.
Sun Quest is a collection of hand painted patterns (assemblage acrylic on wood panels) and imagery that I have combined to create a visual “quilt” assemblage.
Second Floor Galleries
I Don’t Create Small Works
A collection of works by members who create big and would have been excluded from the show given the 24”H x 24”W requested size limit. (Making room for 150+ artists is key for the All Members Group Show).
Participating artists; Donna Masini, Jane Carney, Nina Weiss, Pascal Bennett, Ramin Takloo-Bighash, Sam Onche
