Todd Anderson
Photographer, film maker.
For as long as I can remember I have been a visual storyteller. When I was 7 I was allowed to use the family’s slide projector to craft narratives of family vacations, mostly around the imaginations of a young boy exploring the wilds of the southeast side of Chicago, Saugatuck Michigan and the Indiana Dunes. This expanded to film when I was given my grandfather’s 16mm projector and his gym bag full of home movies, cartoons and newsreels. I would edit the film and my brother and I would build soundtracks of sound effects and crude music on a tape recorder and have “A Show” for our friends and family.
At the age of 8 I was introduced to the darkroom and the wonders of black and white photography. This began a lifelong passion for making images that strive to evoke and prompt introspection. After studying photography and Film making at the Institute of Design at IIT I embarked on a professional life of Graphic Design, Product and Event photography and Industrial Film making.
My photographs are in several private collections and I have exhibited in several group shows in the United States and Germany as well as a solo installation at Space 900 Gallery.
I am currently the Executive Producer at CRF Productions.
