William (Bill) Burlingham

I have lived and worked in Evanston for most of my adult life, pursuing photography as both a business and an art. I now dedicate my creative energy to book projects that explore the world around me in a very personal black-and-white style. Some images present themselves to me as treasures, whole and complete. Others are like matching puzzle pieces that need to be arranged and manipulated–using experience, intuition, and technical skill–into a whole. While the images may sometimes seem exotic, they are, in reality, moments captured in familiar places, often close to home.
