Matthew LaFleur
I was born with a crayon in my hand, dimples in my grin and goofiness in my soul. An illustrator for over two decades, I have drawn from the creative well to create a variety of pieces that have appeared on local beer cans and bottles, company logos, design and art for board games, t-shirts, greeting cards, tote bags, wedding invitations, and more. Fun fact: I just finished the newest, annual Plein Air Festival map for Evanston Made.
I have illustrated for Midwestern breweries like Smylie Brothers Brewing Co., Une Année Brewery, Sketchbook Brewing Co., DryHop Brewers, Kuma’s Corner, Illinois Craft Brewers Guild, Hop Butcher For The World, Middle Brow, and Transient Artisan Ales in Michigan.
I worked on book interiors and covers for all kinds of subjects, like whodunits, baseball trivia, and MENSA puzzles. I illustrated three children’s books, the most recent being A Magnificent Misunderstanding, written by Molly Raske. Previously, I added lots of fun art to all the pages of The Isle of Stuck Faces by Brooke Saucier and The Toothless Fairy, written by Tim Jordan. Contact me and I can hook you up with signed copies of any or all of them.
