David Garcia

Evanston-based visual artist & painting conservator David Garcia is inquisitive. Explorer and creator are his native states. Current directions include numerous fine art and sport photography projects, plein air painting, fiction writing, upcycle sculpture, and wood-working.

Past directions? Highlights include a moving collection of photos documenting the decay wrought on the city of St. Louis by white flight and suburbanization; and the Saturday Bazaar – a series of artists markets inspired by the long-running “Bazar del Sabado” of Mexico City. When David is not making art, he is saving it as a conservator of old-masters and modern paintings.
