Amy Woodbury

Working with acrylic or mixed media, I paint and draw a variety of things: fantasy figures within dense, detritus-laden terrains, abstract expanses of water or land, portraits of imagined women. What motivates me? Movement, intuition, line, color, randomness and restlessness. My work has been exhibited at the Evanston Art Center, Judy A. Saslow Gallery, Goodman Theatre (scenic elements), Art Expo Chicago, and my Annual Front Yard Art Sale; it is in the permanent collections of the Evanston Public Library, Big Shoulders Coffee, E2 Evanston, Niche 905 Chicago, and Dance Center Evanston.
