Jim Parks : Faces of Evanston Project
Jim Parks' latest series of portraits continues his work using a"tiny" 4x4 canvas to capture a detailed and compelling image . The FACES OF LEVY PROJECT is an ongoing art installation located in Evanston’s Levy Center. It features over 200 small portraits of Levy’s members, teachers, and administrators…painted by Evanston artist, Jim Parks. Observers have characterized the installation as the “faces that represent the soul of this valued community.”
Jim has recently expanded his project to include his fellow artists' Evanston Sketchers Group. Those portraits are part of the current Evanston Made Group Show open June 1-June 28, 2024 at the Evanston Art Center.
