All Members Group Show Prospectus 

 Evanston Made Members are invited to participate in the All Members Group Show at Evanston Art Center, June 2024. Artists are invited to submit TWO pieces to the exhibit, both must have been created in the last calendar year.

Call for Art #1: There’s No Place Like Home

Prompt: “There’s No Place Like Home”, art inspired by Evanston, IL. We are inviting our members to submit art pieces inspired by Evanston, IL, the city where Evanston Made has been rooted in community building in the arts for the last ten years.

Call for Art #2: Collaboration Submission – artists are invited to submit a second piece

• Only one artist creating the piece needs to be an Evanston Made member.
• Submissions can be created in any medium, see guidelines above
• Submissions must be fore sale
• Art can be inspired by anything, no need for Evanston theme

Parameters for submissions:

Painting/Drawing Rules 

• Paintings must be original works executed with pigments: acrylic, gouache, Oil, pastel, tempera, watercolor, charcoal, colored pencil, pencil, pen & ink. 
• Work must be created in the last calendar year, June 2023-2024
• Each Artist can submit 1 piece (Paintings/drawings ) for and must be ready to hang-  wired or sawtooth hooks. no cleats or d hooks please.
• As work must be for sale
• Artwork (framed) should not exceed 24” in any direction. 
• Art not adhering to these rules and restrictions will not be considered for admission and hanging.

3D, Sculpture and Fiber Rules 

• All work must be original works executed by the artist 
• Work must be created in the last calendar year, June 2023-2024
• Each Artist can submit 1 piece for Gallery walls and must be ready to hang-  wired or sawtooth hooks.  no cleats or d hooks please.
• Artwork (framed) should not exceed 24” in any direction. (Reach out to discuss larger pieces)
• There will be pedestals and tables for displaying non hanging work, ceramics, sculpture etc.
• Art not adhering to these rules and restrictions will not be considered for admission and hanging.

• Artwork Drop-off dates and times to Evanston Art Center, 1717 Central Street; May 25, 9a-6p, May 26, 9a-4p, May 28 9a-6p
• Opening Reception, Saturday, June 1, 5-8p, RSVP here
• Thursday Night Artist Talks, June 6, 13, 20
• Closing party for the show, June 28
• Submission pick up dates, June 29 & 30, July 1 & 2

Entry Information:

• All prospective participants must apply online here. All entrants must submit 1 example of their submission to be used for promotional purposes.
• Deadline for Entries is May 10th.

Event Sponsors, Evanston Made and the City of Evanston are not responsible for loss or damage to artwork. Sponsors reserve the right to reject any artwork that does not meet our expectations or conform to the norms of the community.

General Show Description:

Evanston Made has secured space at the Evanston Art Center (both floors) to host the annual All Members Group Show, June 1-28. 

A timeline for setup, Preview night, First Saturday Launch, Weekly events, take down and pick up of art will be published by February 15, 2024, for the full duration of the show.

The following hold true for the Group Show:

1. 1. Artists must be a current/active member of Evanston Made
   2. Work to be exhibited must be for sale.
   3. Work from Artists participating in the Group Show will be highlighted at ShopEvanstonMade.org. featuring additional works for purchase.
   4. Artists participating must agree to help promote  the space/events through their network, social media and word of mouth.
   5. EAC/ Evanston Made commission rates (40%) will apply to all sales.
   6. Evanston Made will confirm acceptance of your work into the Group Show with a separate email.  That email will contain the EAC loan document with deadlines for submission of paperwork, as well as delivery dates and details.
   7. Submitted work must be delivered with a loan document for inventory tracking and ease of display. Info includes; price, title, medium, artist name
   8. Submitted work must fit the brief and parameters.
