Virtual Storytime with Award-winning Author/Illustrator Elisha Cooper!

April 13 @ 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm

On Tuesday, April 13th at 5 PM, The Book Stall is delighted to host award-winning author and illustrator Elisha Cooper for a storytime featuring his brand-new picture book, Yes & No, a timeless tale of friendship and the joys (and trials) of siblinghood.  We recommend this event for ages 3 and up!  All attendees will be entered into a raffle for special prizes, including a piece of original artwork from Mr. Cooper! Register for this free program HERE.

About the Book: Good morning, good morning. It’s time to wake up! Join a cat and puppy pair through their day–the ups of being fed and romping through grass, and the downs of days that are too short and things that don’t go as planned–as they realize that sometimes the very best thing that can happen is just being together.

“Sweetly comic […] this sustained conversation offers giggles, reassurance, and warmth. Readers may even recognize themselves in a certain hound’s bedtime reluctance to say goodbye to the day’s pleasures.” —Publishers Weeklystarred review

About the Author: Elisha Cooper is the 2018 Caldecott Honor-winning artist of Big Cat, Little Cat, published by Roaring Brook Press. He is the author/illustrator of many other books for young readers including Train, Farm, Beach, 8: An Animal Alphabet, and River. He lives with his family and two cats in New York City.

We heartily recommend following him on Instagram, where his short drawing demos and art-making have been a balm and delight throughout this pandemic era!
