Brooke Saucier and Matthew LaFleur, author and illustrator of “The Isle of Stuck Faces,” will be meeting and greeting at Evanston Pour. They will have copies of their smash hit children’s book for sale, and they will (probably) not make a face when you ask them to sign and personalize your copy!

This hilarious, epic poem spins the legendary tale of Steve “Stick” Vizage, a young boy who loves to express himself—not always pleasantly—by making faces. Stick’s dream weekend takes a turn when he comes face to face with his babysitter, the imposing Madame Mugg, who warns him about the dire consequences of his face-making ways. Adventure ensues as Mugg teaches Stick important lessons about manners, mannerisms, and treating others with respect.
