Sunday Letterpress Soiree with Ben Blount
February 26 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$149
Join Ben Blount in his studio for a small group introduction to letterpress printing. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of letterpress printing from building a form to pulling an impression. You’ll learn how to mix inks, build a proper lockup, and print with wood type on a flatbed cylinder press. Each student will leave with multiple prints from pre-determined designs (i.e. you won’t be designing your own prints in the workshop).
This intimate workshop is limited to 6 students. This will be a fun afternoon of music, conversation and slinging ink. Wear comfortable clothes that can get a little messy.
