Amy Sobin is a multidisciplinary artist working in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. Her works include pencil drawings, mixed media and colorful abstract paintings. Born in sunny Texas in 1968 she doesn’t remember a time when she was not looking closely at everything and making art out of her observations. Embracing this solitary focus, seeing the beauty of the world through her artist’s eye led her through high school and into college, receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Graphic Design from Miami University in Oxford Ohio. Amy has shown and sold her work in Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco while concurrently working in the film business for the past 27 years. Her continued ability to see with pure wonder is a skill and a joy which is embodied in everything she does.
