Piano in the Park, a Free Community Event in Talmadge Park
April 6 @ 8:00 am - June 2 @ 5:00 pm
FreeStarting April 6th, the Noyes Cultural Arts Center of Evanston will place a donated piano into Talmadge Park on Noyes Street to allow and encourage the Evanston community to engage with the instrument. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome to come and play, practice, or interact with the instrument during park hours without having to purchase it themselves or make space for it in their homes. This event is free and provides children and other community members with the opportunity to be exposed to an instrument they may not normally have access to due to its cost or bulky size.
‘Piano In The Park’ Evanston is inspired by similar events that occur across Chicago public parks annually in which a piano is donated to the space for community use. For additional information, please contact The Noyes Arts Center at 847-448-8263.
