Perspective Gallery Features Bob Tanner’s “My Downward Gaze”
October 14 @ 4:00 pm - November 13 @ 5:00 pm

Up is up, but there’s a whole lot to see down low. Perspective Gallery founding member Bob Tanner’s solo show, “My Downward Gaze,”on view through October 29th , is an abstract exploration of the beauty beneath our feet.
Half of the show, “At the Ocean’s Edge,” features images Tanner captured along the Pacific Ocean shore. “I watched as the ocean’s waves, wind and tide came and went, each surge creating a unique possibility for me,” says Tanner.
Years later, and much closer to home, he was again transfixed by visions down low: the faint marks on the floor of a large parking garage. Much time spent in postproduction enabled Tanner to highlight these markings, creating the images for the second half of the show: “At Winter’s Edge.”
Be sure to visit the Perspective to see the complete works. Viewing hours are Thursday to Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5.
If you can’t make it in person, Bob will also discuss both bodies of work at a Virtual Artist’s Talk on Thursday October 19th at 7 p.m. To register, go to https://perspectivegallery.org/october-2023
