Saxophonist Chris Madsen will be performing his favorite jazz standards with acclaimed vocalist Abigail Riccards, who has made an international name for herself in the jazz and pop music community for nearly 20 years. A semifinalist in the 2004 Thelonius Monk International Jazz Competition, Riccards has frequently performed at such venues as Birdland and the Jazz Standard in New York City, as well as at the Green Mill, the Jazz Showcase, and Winter’s Jazz Club here in Chicago. Together, Madsen and Riccards will be joined by a fantastic rhythm section made up of Ben Paterson, Clark Sommers and Neil Hemphill. This concert will be recorded live for Chicago Jazz Live on WDCB.
