Levy Lecture: Everyday Improv with Sue Gillan

April 9 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Free
Presented via Zoom.

Join us Tuesday, April 9th at 1:30pm via Zoom and learn to use the techniques of a master improviser to strengthen relationships, spark connections, and maintain cognitive agility as we age.

In this highly interactive — and unapologetically playful! — workshop, Second City alum Sue Gillan will lead on-screen volunteers through a series of conversations designed to help us all build the improvisational skills to stay mentally sharp and socially engaged.

The Levy Lecture is free, but you must Register to Watch

Sue Gillan, an Evanston native, has been a professional writer, actor, director, and improv performer for 25 years. Starting her career at Chicago’s famed Second City theater, Sue has gone on to lead hundreds of improv workshops all over the world. Currently, you can also watch Sue pretend to be a therapist on the NBC sitcom “Shrink.”

Shane DuBow (moderator) is a veteran writer, editor, and college essay coach with a background in long-form journalism, academia, and museum exhibit design.

The Levy Lecture Series, proudly sponsored by the LSCF, offers a platform for older adults who are passionate about continued learning.
