Harmonica legend Corky Siegel and star vocalist Lynne Jordan are back Dec. 10 with brand new music and a virtual holiday show you won’t want to miss! The LSCF is proud to bring you this online music spectacular with three recorded sets with Siegel and Jordan plus a live post-show discussion with Corky, Lynne and show producer John Anderson, a Grammy-nominated and Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker.
To add to the excitement, Corky has written two new songs that he will premiere at this event. Tickets are free to the public, but advance registration is required.
We are raffling off a fabulous holiday spirit gift basket, plus two lucky donors will be randomly selected to receive a Levy Senior Center membership or membership renewal. Everyone who donates during the concert will be entered into the raffle.
This is a time for coming together to celebrate the season, and we look forward to “seeing” you at this special event. Brought to you by the Levy Senior Center Foundation and sponsored by Symphony of Evanston, this recorded production is free but registration is required. Please share the registration link with friends, family, colleagues and neighbors! The concert begins at 6pm, but you can log in starting at 5:30 pm.
Siegel is known internationally as one of the world’s great blues harmonica players, blues pianist, singer and writer of unusual songs, a Chamber Blues progenitor and sole pioneer/composer of award-winning revolutionary works that weave blues and classical forms together.
In a city brimming with classic blues and jazz divas, Chicago vocalist Jordan stands apart. Not only do her soaring vocals dip effortlessly into blues, jazz, funk, rock, and even country but her bawdy personality wins over any crowd. Her talent so dazzled the Second City that the late Chicago film critic Roger Ebert declared her his “favorite diva.”
